A modular SolaX Triple Power home battery solution designed to help households use more of their own solar energy, supported by current federal and NSW programs where eligible.
Eligibility, final system design, savings, rebate value and installation price depend on the property, existing solar equipment, battery model and installation date.

Modular sizes allow the installer to match storage to household demand, solar output and inverter compatibility.
✓
SolaX lists remote fault diagnosis, upgrades and maintenance for smart system management.
✓
Backup capability may be available when compatible inverter equipment and selected circuits are configured by the installer.
Capacity sits fully within the highest federal support band.
The current STC factor applies at 100% for eligible capacity from 0 to 14 kWh. This describes the factor calculation, not a guaranteed percentage off a quoted price.
Three layers of support to explain clearly.
A strong Sydney sales page should separate the federal battery discount, the NSW VPP incentive and the NSW Home Energy Saver program. Each has different rules.
01
Federal Cheaper Home Batteries Program
Eligible households, businesses and community organisations can receive an upfront discount of around 30% on eligible battery systems from 5 to 100 kWh.
Delivered through Small-scale Technology Certificates
0 to 14 kWh receives 100% of the current STC factor
Capacity above 14 kWh receives tapered support
Battery and installer accreditation requirements apply
02
NSW Virtual Power Plant incentive
Eligible grid-connected batteries can receive a separate NSW incentive for joining a participating VPP. It can be combined with the federal battery discount.
Available for eligible batteries above 2 and up to 50 kWh
Payment depends on capacity made available, up to 28 kWh
Provider terms and actual incentive amounts vary
Compatible retailer and VPP provider required
03
NSW Home Energy Saver
Eligible NSW households may use support for residential batteries and other approved upgrades.
Zero-interest loans up to $15,000 are open now
Loan household income threshold is up to $210,000
Discounts up to $4,000 are marked as coming soon
Discount income threshold is up to $80,000 or an eligible concession card

Who may benefit most?
A personalised assessment is more credible than a generic savings promise.
☀
Homes exporting surplus solar
Store daytime generation for evening use instead of sending all excess energy to the grid.
⌁
High evening consumption
Useful for households running cooking, cooling, heating, pool equipment or EV charging later in the day.
⌂
Households reviewing resilience
A compatible backup configuration may keep selected essential circuits operating during an outage.
↗
Owners considering a VPP
Eligible systems may access the NSW joining incentive and ongoing provider payments under agreed terms.

Common questions.
Is the federal discount a guaranteed 30% off every quote?
No fixed dollar amount is guaranteed. The Australian Government describes the benefit as around 30% for eligible systems. The actual value depends on usable capacity, the STC factor on the installation date and how certificates are handled in the quote.
Can the NSW VPP incentive be added to the federal program?
Yes, an eligible battery installed under the federal program can also access the NSW VPP incentive when the battery, retailer, provider and connection meet the rules.
Does every SolaX battery provide blackout backup?
Backup depends on the compatible inverter, backup hardware, system design and circuits selected by the installer. It should be confirmed in the written proposal.
Can a battery be added to an existing solar system?
Often yes. Compatibility, inverter type, switchboard condition and site constraints must be assessed before quoting.
What size battery should a household choose?
The right size depends on daily solar export, evening consumption, electricity tariff, budget and backup requirements. Larger capacity can receive tapered federal support above 14 kWh, so the assessment should consider both technical fit and program settings.
